Apply to be a Big Texas Rally for Recovery Affiliate Organization Today!
Applications are open to become a 2024 BTRR Affiliate Organization.
Applications are due by January 25th, 2024.
Sponsorship funding is administered by the University of Texas Austin Addiction Research Institute and provided by Texas Health and Human Services. Sponsorship funds are limited. Please consider your community’s existing resources carefully when determining the amount to request. The maximum sponsorship request amount is $12,900. sponsorship award or the amount requested. BTRR will occur in multiple rallies. The Planning Committee will select a target date for September, but not a requirement.
ARI will be available to support you through this process. “Office Hours” will be created in early January 2024. To request a 30-minute slot, please email eflint@austin.utexas.edu with your preferred availability.
What does it mean to be an affiliate of the Big Texas Rally?
Local rallies affiliated with the statewide Big Texas Rally for Recovery
commit to doing the following:
- Recruit partners from your substance use and mental health recovery communities, wider social networks and community partners to collaborate to host local rally
- Create a planning committee
- Establish a place and time for local rally and determine rally components
- Utilize Big Texas Rally for Recovery marketing materials and branding
- Share updated Big Texas Rally for Recovery plans for your community with statewide planning committee
- Participate (if possible) in shared event date agreed upon by statewide planning committee in September, 2024.

OPTION 1: Application for Big Texas Rally for Recovery Affiliation and Sponsorship Funds

If your community wishes to apply for affiliation with the Big Texas Rally for Recovery and apply for sponsorship funds to help defray partial costs of the rally, please complete and submit the following documents to eflint@austin.utexas.edu.
- Overview of Local Rally Event Form/Affiliate Agreement
- Letter of Commitment by Fiscal Agent
- Narrative Description of Local Rally
- Budget and Sponsorship Request Form
